About

What we do

Cadog’s Corner is all about community connections. Our pay as you feel approach makes life that bit more affordable and helps people make friends along the way. We welcome all ages, from children at our fun events, through our intergenerational get togethers, to classes and training for adults.

After forming back in 2014 and registering as a charity in 2015, we’ve been on a journey which has always had food and community spirit at its heart.

Our pay as you feel shop is the flagship Big Bocs Bwyd, with Fare Share deliveries helping to keep food from going to landfill and giving our guests healthy food and hygiene essentials, taking the pressure off our local food bank and improving sustainability. Our refill station ensures filling staples are always available and reduce packaging waste.

We can only do all of this, and so much more, with the support of our fabulous team of volunteers.

Our history

When we first launched, we hoped to give a space for year-round family engagement and to expand our fruit and veg co-op. During Covid lockdowns we were able to hit the ground running supporting our community with food parcel deliveries as we’d already established relationships with Fare Share and local supermarkets, and had a team of volunteers.

During this time we were able to complete capital works which helped us to grow our offer to the Cadoxton community. Including a decking area, outdoor barbecue kitchen and bi-fold doors to connect the garden and Victoria Park Community Centre, and setting up the shipping containers that now host our pay as you feel shop, laundrette and uniform shop.

We’ve also always offered projects, classes and events, often on a food or wellbeing theme, to bring people together.

In 2025 we were able to employ a Charity Coordinator to develop and grow in line with our vision to feed community spirit one meal at a time.
